Season's Over!

Aiden's t-ball season wrapped up this week, and miraculously, it didn't rain for their last game! His team did a great job, then we all headed to the coach's house for an end-of-season party and trophy presentation. As you can see, he is very proud of his first trophy!

Last Day of School

The kids and I went out for Hot Lips Pizza to celebrate the last day of the school year. Summer break is finally here, but where the heck is the sun???

Must-See Movies

If you haven't seen "Juno" or "Once" yet, rent them! They are both wonderful films...Juno is hilarious (some of the best one-liners I've heard in a long time), touching, and an all-around feel good movie. Ellen Page, its star, is wonderful as pregnant 16-year-old Juno. And her quirky family, awkward boyfriend, slightly adultified best friend, and the strained couple she's chosen to adopt her baby, all provide a great supporting cast.

"Once" is an atypical love story about a struggling Irish musician who meets a girl from Eastern Europe, and the two spend an intense few days writing and recording music that tells their love story. The music is amazing, and even more so because the two leads actually wrote many of the songs and contributed lead vocals to all of them. And after you've watched this movie, by all means go out and buy yourself the soundtrack...you won't regret it.
