Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals

Erik and I saw Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals last night at the Keller Auditorium. The show was completely insane...and when I say insane, I mean so incredible that I lost my mind for 2+ hours to the music of Ben and his talented band. This concert reaffirmed for me that he is one of, if not the most, talented musicians of our time. He is an insightful yet outspoken songwriter; he plays a myriad of acoustic instruments, including a mean slide guitar; and in my opinion, he is most talented vocally. He has such amazing control of his voice - it's actually difficult to sing along with his songs (and trust me, I try!) - and this, combined with his mesmerizing stage presence, made for an unforgettable concert. If you love his music but haven't seen him live, by all means, do so next time he rolls through a town near you. If you don't know his music, then get yourself to a record store asap and get some!!! He is not to be missed.

Of course I have never heard of him; but he must be great. Bring a cd with you when you come for Christmas. I can't wait. We got the RL place all decorated! Just outside left. Mom
